About Digital With Purpose
Digital with Purpose is an ambitious movement of leaders joining forces in a race to deliver against the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 who believe in a world where technology, innovation and collaboration can transform the fortunes of our planet.
The Digital with Purpose Movement is the next stage of a GeSI's initiative following the launch of our Digital with Purpose report in 2019 “Digital with Purpose-Delivering a Smarter2030 report”. The report identified that of the 169 SDG targets, 103 are directly influenced by digital technologies, with established examples of deployment that provide insight into their potential to make an impact.
The Movement is not about repackaging existing efforts or restating previously declared intentions – it is a race to the top and driven by measurable action. Members share an ambition to create business value through radically accelerating the enabling power of digital technology to meet the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals, whilst minimising negative externalities that may arise.
